DLF Ltd.: Stock market update: Nifty Realty top sectoral gainer; DLF, Unitech surge 4%

Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, GAIL (India), Reliance Industries and UPL were among the top gainers in the Nifty index. NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index was trading as the top gainer among the sectoral indices during afternoon trade on Tuesday.The realty index was trading 2.04 per cent up at 275 around 01:55 pm.Shares of DLF (up 4.43 per cent), Unitech (up 3.66 per cent), Oberoi Realty (up 2.91 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (up 2.26 per cent) were the top gainers in the realty pack.Shares of Godrej Properties (up 0.80 per cent), Housing Development & Infrastructure (HDIL) (up 0.75 per cent), Phoenix Mills (up 0.32 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects (up 0.31 per cent) were also in the green.However, Sobha (down 1.19 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises (down 1.16 per cent) were under pressure.Market sentiment was positive amid firm global cues. Buying, led by bank, auto, metal and teck stocks were keeping the equity benchmarks up.The NSE Nifty50 index was up 73 points at 10,926, while the BSE Sensex was up 237 points at 36,172.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, GAIL (India), Reliance Industries and UPL were among the top gainers in the Nifty index.Sun Pharma, HPCL, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Kotak Mahindra Bank and IndusInd Bank were among the top losers in the Nifty index.

In the Sensex index, 20 stocks were advancing, while 11 were declining. NEW DELHI: Auto stocks Ashok Leyland (up 2.29 per cent), Bajaj Auto (up 1.74 per cent), Balkrishna Industries (up 1.72 per cent) and Cummins India (up 1.53 per cent) were trading in the positive territory during afternoon trade on Tuesday.Shares of Apollo Tyres (up 1.28 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India (up 1.17 per cent), Exide Industries (up 1.08 per cent), Eicher Motors (up 0.90 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (up 0.86 per cent) and Tata Motors (up 0.27 per cent) were also gaining in trade.The BSE Auto index was trading 0.51 per cent up at 24,981 around 02:30 pm.However, Hero MotoCorp (down 1.17 per cent), Bharat Forge (down 0.97 per cent), Bosch (down 0.85 per cent), TVS Motor Company (down 0.84 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra (down 0.38 per cent) were incurring losses.Gains in heavyweights including Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, ITC, Maruti, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank were keeping the benchmark indices up.The BSE Sensex was up 223 points at 36,158, while the NSE Nifty50 index was up 67 points at 10,920.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.In the Sensex index, 20 stocks were advancing, while 11 were declining.Reliance Industries, Coal India and Tata Steel were leading among Sensex gainers.

GAIL (India) Ltd.: Stock market update: Top Nifty gainers and losers of Tuesday's session

As it stated in As many as 58 stocks hit 52-week lows on NSE, compared with 16 stocks that touched 52-week highs today. NEW DELHI: GAIL (India), Hindalco Industries, Reliance Industries , Coal India, YES Bank and Eicher Motors emerged as the top gainers in the Nifty index on Tuesday.On the other hand, HPCL, Indian Oil Corporation, Indiabulls Housing Finance, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Lupin finished the day as the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.Firm global cues, optimism about better June quarter earnings and sustained buying in heavyweights including Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank and HDFC lifted Sensex over 300 points up on Tuesday.Extending the gains for the third consecutive day, Sensex settled 305 points, or 0.85 per cent, up at 36,240, with 21 stocks up and 10 stocks down.The Nifty surged 94 points, or 0.87 per cent, to finish at 10,947, with 33 stocks in the green and 17 in the red.Barring Nifty Pharma, all sectors on NSE closed the day with gains. Cadila, Lupin, Aurobindo Pharma, Biocon, Sun Pharma, Divi's Laboratories and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories stood as the losers in the pharma index.As many as 58 stocks hit 52-week lows on NSE, compared with 16 stocks that touched 52-week highs today.
