Energy stocks fell along with the price of crude oil. The Russell 2000 is up 1.14 points, or 0.1 percentFor the year:The Dow is up 1,240.37 points, or 6.3 percent. U.S. stocks closed lower Thursday, erasing some of the gains from a day earlier, when the major indexes soared to their latest record highs. The Russell 2000 is up 38.54 points, or 2.8 percent. The Russell 2000 index of smaller-company stocks gave up 17.97 points, or 1.3 percent, to 1,395.67.
