Global index provider FTSE Russell has put Romania on its watch list of stock markets to be upgraded from the status of frontier market to emerging market. The stock exchange's main index, the BET -- comprising the 10 biggest companies by market capitalization -- has gained almost 25% over the past year in anticipation of the upgrade.
